For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? [MARK 8:36, NKJV]

Jesus once asked a question that provoked the deepest thoughts. He said “what shall it profit a man, to gain the whole world but loose his soul?” These are those kinds of scenarios where the question IS the statement. Now, consider this; profit is a business term used to communicate gain and resultant value. A business that does not bring in profit has no value and whatever lacks value is a waste of time and effort.

Now in the business of life, Jesus is asking, what value can exist where the soul of a man is lost? What is comparable to the value of your soul? The earth with all the gold, diamonds and precious artifacts are nothing in comparison with the value of your soul. The loss of soul is the loss of life; money, fame and earthly wealth notwithstanding.

There was a time where your soul was doomed to damnation. Goodnews! He restores your soul. He redeems you from the place of loss, mediocrity, limitations, and of valueless and pointless existence. With the discovery of the love of God comes the discovery purpose. A life which was once without focus, gains it all with the introduction of the Spirit of God. HE RESTORES YOUR SOUL!

Daily, as you fellowship in the presence of God, as you read your Bible, and as you pray and fast, your soul, the most valuable commodity in all of existence is restored to perfection. To lose the soul is to lose all that matters. Guard your heart with all diligence. Watch where you go to and what you do. May the Lord grant you strength, wisdom and consistency to walk in His will and ways, in the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Thank you Lord for today. I take the time today to appreciate You Lord for the works You have worked in my life. Thank You for the numerous testimonies, for helping me to excel through all difficulties. By my strength, I could do nothing. You have helped me, You have given me the strength that I have and for that Lord, I have come today to say THANK YOU FATHER!
