Invite a friend

The number one reason people begin coming to church is that a family member or friend invited them! Why? Because there is a bridge of TRUST. Who are the friends and family on your “trust” list who aren’t connected to a church family?  Name them! Write down their names on a piece of paper.

There are people you know who are in the midst of a crisis and they will respond to a bridge of HOPE. Do you have a friend going through a divorce? A friend who has lost a loved one or a job? A friend worried about their kids, their health, where their next meal will come from? People you know who need HOPE right now are particularly open to an invitation, because they are looking for hope in their lives. Who is on your “hope” list; people that are struggling with real life issues that need the hope of Christ?   Name them!     Write down their names on a piece of paper.

There are people in your lives who once had a connection with a church family. To most of these people, FAITH matters!  These people already know that faith in Jesus matters, even if they are not active in church right now!  Who do you know who has been away from a church family for a while? Who is on your “faith” list?  (These are Lutherans, Methodists, Baptists, etc.  but they aren’t going to church – ask them!)   Name them! Write down those names too.
