Patience is a very important virtue in the kingdom. Our heavenly father is a God who honors the period of waiting. Many believers want God to do great things for them as soon as possible, and while God can easily do that, sometimes He desires to take us through a period of waiting to build up our faith and character. When we exercise patience in the place of prayer and intercession, we develop our faith, character and trust in God.

God is a rewarder of those who wait on Him. Isaiah 40:31 says: “But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint”. When we wait on God in the place of prayer we build up our strength spiritually. Hannah waited on God for almost nineteen years for a child, but God who is faithful finally opened the fruit of her womb and caused her to conceive the great prophet Samuel. Walking with God requires patience. Everything in the Kingdom of God has seasons, and we need to be patient and be understanding of the season we’re in (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8).

When we labor in patience, waiting on God for His promises, He who is faithful will always see them to pass. In our respective lives, we may be going through different ordeals that are only tests of our patience. We must remain steadfast and faithful to God no matter the circumstances and in due time, He will pour unto us blessings that we would truly not be able to contain. SHALOM!

Father, I receive the grace to be patient with Your promises in Your Word towards me. I remain steadfast and faithful waiting on You and in service unto You, knowing that in due season You will do exceedingly and abundantly above my expectations. In Jesus Name. Amen.
