LIVING A LIFE OF SACRIFICE

LIVING A LIFE OF SACRIFICE

Sacrifice is enduring temporary discomfort for the benefit of other people or a future goal.
The foundation of our faith is laid on the sacrifice of Christ on the cross (John 3:16). Sacrifice is the greatest secret of great men. No man can be the best without sacrifice. The value of our future is determined by the cost we are willing to pay or the sacrifice we are willing to make today.

Sacrifice requires us to give up certain pleasures. It means using our time, talents and treasures for the benefit of others or for a future purpose. Living a life of sacrifice is living a life that is conformed to God’s Word and principles. God requires us, believers, to live a life of sacrifice, as it is an act of spiritual worship. Paul recognized this truth in Galatians 2:20 by saying: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me”.

Although living a life of sacrifice is challenging; it is important for us to develop the character and capability to live one. However, whatsoever we do should be in love and with a cheerful heart, because God the rewarder of the sacrifice of the righteous will surely not let you go unrewarded. SHALOM!

Confession
Father, I thank You for I have all that pertains to life and godliness. I decide today to use my time energy and resources for Your glory and to the benefit of others, in Jesus Name. Amen
