“… God is love; and he that dwelleth in love, dwelleth in God, and God in him.” [1 John 4:16]
The best way to describe the Christian faith is love. How can it not be love? We all who believe in God have been translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of the son of God. Everything about God is defined, described and adequately characterised by the love of God. It was love that brought Jesus into the world to die in the first place [John 3:16], it was love born in the heart of the apostles that fueled the spread of the gospel into every continent and country. Many were maimed, killed and hurt in order to share this glorious gospel.
There is nothing that love cannot give, there is nothing too difficult, no sacrifice too great for love to give. Friends, we are most like God when we function and operate within the realms of love for truly, God is love.
It is not love to watch others perish and live unsaved, it is not love to behold a need and walk past especially when you possess the means to turn that need into a testimony. This is a new week. Ask today for the deepest revelations of the love of God. Let this supreme nature of God rule your life, your thoughts and your actions. Let it define you to the last atom of you being. Let us be fully transformed into God’s agents of love. The way to conquer earth for Christ is through love; therefore my dear friends, LOVE. SHALOM!
CONFESSION
Heavenly Father, this week I ask that you open my eyes as I open my heart to the deepest realities of Your love. Let me love like You Lord. Help me live like you. Help me to be a perfect reflection of your passions here in my world, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
