The need to pray is as great as the authority of God, who has commanded us to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17, NKJV). As believers, we must come to an understanding that prayer is not just an act, but a command with a promise that requires our obedience. Luke 18: 1 says: “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint. Prayer is vital because it is the instrument that brings into motion the move of God in any situation, place, or time. Paul, in 1 Timothy 2:1 & 3 admonishes us to pray before anything else, as it is what is good and acceptable in the sight of God. The command of prayer is for our benefit as believers because when we pray, we walk in obedience to God and His Word, and obedience in itself activates speedy success in the life of any believer.
