“Jesus… Said “Kings and those with great authority in this world rule oppressively over their subjects, like tyrants. But this is not your calling. You will lead by a completely different model. The greatest one among you will live as the one who is called to serve others, because the greatest honor and authority is reserved for the one with the heart of a servant. [Matthew 20:25-27, TPT]
The summary of our test scripture is this; that service is the door to greatness in the Kingdom of God. Let us abandon the imaginations of grandeur, lust for glory and earthly worship when we address the issue of greatness in the Kingdom of God. No authority in the Kingdom will certify a man or woman as Lord, who is one that thinks of him or herself alone and sees all other persons as tools to be used to facilitate his or her own lust for power.
And if you have not proved faithful in that which belongs to another [whether God or man], who will give you that which is your own [that is, the true riches]? [Like 16:12, AMPC].
The way up is on your knees. The way to lead is to follow. The way to abundance is to submit and sacrifice. The way to true riches is to serve and commit faithfully to what belongs to others. *No one rises like a rocket*, everyone that rises in the Kingdom is lifted by his actions or inactions. The glory you attain is a qualification, more often a reward for work done.
Therefore, serve the Lord God with all your heart. Seek the performance of the earnest desires of His heart. Win souls, preach the gospel to all, support His work on earth however you can. Leave aside all the many things you desire for now and pick up the concerns of the Kingdom of God. God is a Rewarder, for your sacrifice, You will see the Grace of God at work in your life, Surely! Shalom.
CONFESSION
Thank You Father for the opportunity to serve Your purposes here on earth. It is my heart desire to please You Lord, therefore I pray this day that You fill my heart today, with the Grace and passion to consistently wait on You. Help me win souls, help me pray for the lost, help me to be committed in all that You have called me to do here on earth, for I am surrendered wholly to You Lord, Amen!
