Theme: Season of Jubilee Sub-theme: The Right Response to Your Jubilee Season.
Introduction:
Jubilee is more than a season of celebration; it is a divine declaration from God. It is a season in which God fulfills His promises, restores what has been lost, and ushers His people into new dimensions of grace and favor. However, the manifestation of God’s promises is not determined by the season alone but also by our response to Him. The right response positions us to experience the fullness of our Jubilee, while the wrong response can delay or hinder what God desires to accomplish in our lives.
When God speaks, our response should be;
1.) A response with Complete Faith.
The first and most important response to God’s word is faith. Every promise of God requires a believing heart before it can become a reality.
Mary demonstrated this when the angel announced that she would give birth to the Messiah. Though the message seemed impossible, she responded in faith, saying, “Be it unto me according to your word” (Luke 1:38). Likewise, Noah obeyed God’s instruction to build the ark long before the rain had ever fallen.
Faith makes room for the impossible. Every Jubilee season becomes fruitful when we choose to believe God’s Word above our circumstances.
2.) Exercising Patience During the Waiting Season.
Every prophetic word has an appointed time for fulfillment. Waiting does not mean God has forgotten His promise; rather, He is working according to His perfect timing.
Hebrews 6:12 and Habakkuk 2:3 remind believers that God’s promises may seem delayed, but they will surely come to pass at the appointed time.
Patience protects our hearts from frustration and teaches us to trust God’s timing instead of rushing ahead of Him.
3.) Refusing Doubt and Fear.
Every genuine word from God will encounter opposition. Fear, doubt, discouragement, and negative circumstances often arise to challenge our faith.
Romans 8:28, James 1:2, Acts 27:25, and Genesis 27:15 reminds us that God remains faithful regardless of opposition.
4.) Guarding the Word God Has Spoken to you.
Not everyone should have access to every revelation God gives you. Some promises are meant to be protected until they come to fruition.
Believers must carefully protect God’s word given to them;
– From unbelief.
– From mockery.
– From discouragement.
Protecting God’s promise means continually nurturing it through prayer, meditation, and unwavering confidence in His faithfulness.
5.) Continuing to Serve God Faithfully.
No matter the prophetic word you’ve gotten from God, keep serving faithfully while awaiting manifestation of His word.
A heart that continues serving God demonstrates genuine trust. Faithfulness during the waiting season prepares believers for greater responsibilities and greater manifestations of God’s blessings.
6.) Aligning Your Lifestyle with God’s Word.
God’s promises are never a licence to live contrary to His will.
Believers should not expect the fulfillment of divine promises while living in disobedience. Instead, our conduct, decisions, and lifestyle must reflect God’s standards.
7.) Refusing to Manipulate God’s Timing.
Attempting to force God’s promises through human effort often leads to unnecessary pain and complications.
Waiting on God requires patience rather than manipulation. Shortcuts and self-made solutions cannot replace God’s perfect timing.
God desires our trust more than our attempts to control outcomes.
8.) A Response with Bold Expectations.
Faith always carries expectation.
Isaiah 40:31 teaches that those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength.
A heart filled with expectation remains joyful, confident, and hopeful even before the promise is fulfilled.
9.) A Response with Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is one of the highest expressions of faith.
Rather than waiting until the miracle appears, believers should thank God in advance because His faithfulness is certain. Psalm 126:1–3 reminds us that God is able to turn captivity into rejoicing and fill our mouths with laughter.
Gratitude acknowledges that God is already at work even when the answer has not yet become visible.
10) A Response with Consecration.
Every new season demands a fresh commitment to God.
Jubilee is not merely about receiving blessings but also about drawing closer to God. Therefore, believers should continually offer themselves afresh to Him, renewing their devotion, holiness, and obedience.
