SPEAK OF HIS GOODNESS
All through our lives, we have enjoyed God's goodness and mercy. We must show appreciation for His goodness by telling it to others. Speaking of God's goodness reinforces our faith in Him and it is also a means by which we can witness to others and win them to Christ. When we share our Christian experiences with others, it bring to the fore of our consciousness that God has been good to us, builds the spirit of gratitude in us and also serves as a platform for God to do more.
The Bible says in Luke 8:47: "And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately." The woman with the issue of blood wanted to sneak carefully away after receiving her healing; but Jesus brought her to attention, because it was important for her to publicly declare what she had received, thereby strengthening the faith of the people around.
When Jesus completed His ministry and was leaving the earth, He commanded His disciples to go into all the earth and share the experience they had received. We are here because they obeyed, therefore, we must in turn not be silent. When God does something for us, He expects us to testify, that His name be praised and that others might be encouraged by our testimony. When we speak of His goodness, they become permanent in our lives. Speak of the goodness of the Lord today. SHALOM!
CONFESSION
Thank You Father for Your abundant goodness towards me. As I step out today, help me to speak of Your goodness and make this a lifestyle. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
