PRAYERS WORK
Prayer is the act of communicating with God. Prayer enables the believer build fellowship with the Almighty. Some believers are doubtful about the efficacy of prayers; this is far from God’s intention. Mark 11:24 says: "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours”. It has been emphasized time and again that when we ask in prayer, God answers.
It is evident that prayer works because we have seen it countless times in the scriptures: when the prophets, the people of God and even sinners called upon God in prayers, He answered them. The Bible also says in 1 John 5:14: “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us”.
As believers, the essence of prayer should not only be to ask things of God; It should be an act of fellowship. The bible admonishes us in Colossians 4:2, to “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving”. When we pray, we can be rest assured that God will answer according to His Word. SHALOM!
CONFESSION
Dear Father, thank You for answering me when I pray. Help me to live a life of prayer and fellowship. Thank You for the understanding that when I pray, I will receive answers. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
