PRAYING IN THE NAME OF JESUS
The Name of Jesus is highly revered by christians and even non-christians. This goes to show how powerful and mighty the Name of Jesus is: a name that is above every other name. No wonder the Bible encourages believers to pray in His Name. Jesus, in the book of John 14:13, solely instructed us to pray in His Name; it says: "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the father may be glorified in the son.” This is an assurance of the power in the Name of Jesus.
Most times, we are faced with the vicissitudes of life and our prayer life gets the worst of it. In times like this, we can pray in the Name of Jesus believing that He will hear us, because He alone has the sovereign power to hear and to answer our prayers. John 15:7 says: "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”
It is important to pray in the Name of Jesus because it is significant to the fact that our access to God comes from Jesus alone. John 14:6 says: “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Praying in the Name of Jesus Christ alone may not bring all your much needed answers, but it definitely is a good start to prayer. Being led by the Spirit of God, praying in Jesus' Name and thorough obedience to the Word of God gives a believer access to answers from God. SHALOM!

Dear Father, thank You for Your Name holds power. Help me to always acknowledge Jesus and pray in His Name always. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
