WHEN WE PRAY

Praying is a spiritual tool through which believers have access to God. Praying should be the core of a believer’s life. The bible admonishes us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to “pray without ceasing”. This is because prayer is not only our best channel of communication with God; it is also our best bet at knowing the heart of God concerning pressing issues in our lives.

When we pray, we must have faith and trust in God, knowing that He has good plans for us and will always have a lasting solution. Philippians 4:6 says: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God.” When we pray: the heavens open and the Spirit of God moves, demons flee, atmospheres saturate, the power of God flows, things go well, and miracles happen! toLittle wonder the Bible tells us that we will receive whatever we ask in prayer (Mark 11:24).

However, before we pray, it is important that we search our hearts and rid it of anything that is not of God. God is holy and the prayer life of a believer is sacred, therefore every believer must come before God’s presence in purity and sanctity. This is the only assurance that we can communicate with God when we pray (Psalm 24:3-4). SHALOM!
