NURTURING PATIENCE

Patience refers to the ability of an individual to endure through difficult experiences, without giving in to anger, or giving up hope. Patience is indeed a very rare and precious virtue; it doesn't just entail the process of waiting, it involves maintaining a positive attitude while waiting. For a Believer, patience entails having faith in God and believing that after we have waited on Him, our expectations will not be cut short and His plan for our lives will surely come to pass. Psalms 27:14 says: "Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!" Endurance and perseverance are vital to a Believer who is struggling to wait on God. While on the journey of patience, it gets hard to endure; we may desire answers quickly. Romans 12:12 says: "rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;" There actually is no time frame for patience, but the Bible encourages us to maintain a life of prayer so that we can draw strength. A child of God must always learn to wait on the Lord, always. SHALOM!

CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank You for giving me the virtue of patience. Today I declare, that the virtue of patience remains with me always. As I wait on the Lord, I receive grace, my strength is renewed and I have the right attitude. In Jesus' name, Amen.
